I'm from the vast landscape of Canada, residing on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, Alberta. I will try to minimize my thick Western Canadian red neck accent, and will attempt to reduce the no. of "heh" in my squad speak.

Good folks here, some of you are quieter than others. A BF fan since it's beginnings on PC many moons ago.

My years of mouse/keyboard PC skills have not transferred well to the console. But I slowly improve, and continue to keep a head up in my patent searching practice for new gaming tech to help me along. Right now I'm trying out two console controller add-on's - Kontrolfreeks "CQCfreek" & "SNIPRfreek" on the two thumbsticks, and the just recently received N-control "The Avenger".

Over time I will commenting on new gaming tech in my blog at infotree.ca First up will be "The Avenger" which has potential, but not there yet.

    Cheers, Todd

Welcome Todd, we certainly have some accents here and redneck?? i thought it was just Benny who's a redneck Razz

I never really got the hang of PC gaming, got Arma2 on there which was awesome but so difficult to get used to.

The forum has gone quiet as of late but its handy for them lengthy posts, polls, threads with videos embedded etc...

    Interesting occupation btw.

We souls in Alberta are typically referred to as red necks.

    Thanks, James,

Forgot, love searching, something new every couple days. It's very satisfying work. I love reading, using PC's, and learning something new all the time. I never get bored now. Some of the technology areas I search in are more difficult and challenging than others, but doing something you love, which is not easy and very few people do, is what drives me forward.

But the best thing is it's your own business, not working for someone else.

I find PC/console gaming and FPS in particular are like stress relief after reading patents all day for hours.

Then at night I move on to my next passion, reading military non-fiction.

Good to have you here Todd. I've played with you a few times, I'm the one usually at the bottom of the scoretable with a kill ratio to 2 decimal places.

Wouldn't worry too much about your accent as none of us fully fluent or literate anyway.

Me a redneck? James I think you have me confused with some other Americans we used to run with??? Lol. I'm civilized.. I drink Newcy Brown btw.
Welcome here Todd... was a great day when we all ran into each other on BFBC2... our little family and my PSN friends list has expanded quite a bit since that day and there's plenty of room for good guys like you who can chatter a little while keeping an eye out for danger on the field. Don't mind the "heh" and don't be surprised if I start mimicing.. it's my automatic response and meant as flattery... What about the "fu#$in right buddy" bring on those too.

So looking forward to the Dice BF3 PS3 VOIP long-time-coming fix, so we can increase the squad chatter, and sent our opponents with greater efficiency into their virtual grave.
