Electronic Arts has announced plans to reveal Battlefield 3 on Tuesday, March 1 during the 2011 Game Developers Conference

Why the way it used to be??? I never played any of the previous battlefields.

BFMC2 was the game i played alot when everybody left ps2 for ps3 (along with SWBF2) BFMC2 had maps that wer truely classic!..."backstab" was great, you could also lay down...something i hate in the new BF games, you had a mix bag of big open wide fighting and lots of close QTR bottle neck type of fighting,something they took away from the ps3 games...

BFBC1 was also pretty good...shame at the time no1 else thought so (everyone was into COD4 more)

So BF3....not going to camp outside game @12am to get it like i did with BFBC2 ...but it could sway me

I wouldn't like it if you could lay down in BFBC2 to be honest.
Arica Harbour is wide open and bottle necks and so is Oasis, Harvest Day, All Nam maps, come to think of it i'd say on Rush they all are.

im with sean, it was a great game on the ps2, it had a great feel and the maps were great, some great tanks to with aa missiles!

I never played previous Battlefields on PS2 either.
Was to busy playing SWBF2 and PES 6.

I dunno if lying option would be better really guess the only way to find out is wait and see.

Never joined all of you on Battlefield but this does look very good!

I'd be interested to hear what the usual Battlefield players think of this video?

I've already Pre-ordered Dan, Its gonna be awesome.

Its look good and the graphics seem pretty decent, its got the typical Battlefield look.

However I can't pass judgement until I've actually played the game - how many times have you seen a decent trailer and the game is a let down online - Medal of Honour anyone? Even Black Ops but at least after a few months and several updates it is better but still not great online.

Black Ops is an improvement on its predecessors, imo games get better, but i never played previous MoH installments.

All trailers and gameplay footage are made on PC. PS3 and Xbo% are less in graphics... Less players online... Anyway, def. getting it

You do tend to get more hacking in PC games though. Medal of Honour was rife with it.

LOOKS GOOD 7 COUPLE THAT WITH THE REAL WORLD FEEL THAT THE BATTLEFIELD GAMES SEEM TO GET.

Quote: A DICE Spokesperson has today revealed that the 24 player limit enforced on the console version of Battlefield 3 has forced the developer to scale down the size of the games multiplayer maps.

The PC version of the game will host up to 64 player matches and as a result the maps that will be used for this version will simply be unworkable on consoles.

However this scale down will only apply to ground battles as aerial battles will take place in the same area on both PC and console.

So if your looking for a bigger area to play in I would suggest going with the PC version of Battlefield 3 when it launches later this year.
