how to gift a car to a mate and keep it in your garage
Ok so it's cheating but it enables you to gift a good car to a friend while keeping it in your garage too.
You need to connect a USB memory stick to your PS3.
1. Go to your PS3 XMB desktop and copy the GT5 game save file to the memory stick (Game > Saved Data Utility (PS3) > GT5 > Triangle button on controller > copy to USB).
2. Load up GT5 and gift the car of your choice to a friend. It doesn't matter if the game saves.
3. Exit GT5.
4. Go back to the Saved Data Utility (PS3) file for GT5 and delete it.
5. While still in Saved Data Utility (PS3), highlight your USB stick, open it to see the GT5 game save file and copy it (press triangle > copy). This will restore the game data from the USB stick to your PS3.
6. Load up GT5 again and your car will still be in the garage.
7. Now get your mate to do the same with one of his cars
ok john, i want the f1!!!

You do it first Gee and let me know how it goes and how long it takes. When I back up my data it takes a while and deleting all my data to then reinstall sounds really tempting and not a pain in the arse
